After a fantastic 2019 full of touring and playing shows all over the east coast, I was very excited for 2020.  In 2019 I played 89 shows in 46 cities in 16 states, I was lucky enough to play banjo at Americanafest with my friends in 'Strung Like a Horse' and had new in roads into states and cities I had never played before.   My 2020 schedule was stacked with a live recording, 6/7 short runs thru the southeast and midwest, and a big tour and album release, all scheduled and booked.  In January I was able to do 5 sold out Live Recording Sessions in Chattanooga at The Woodshop.  In March after a successful run thru Atlanta, Macon, and Charleston SC the bottom dropped out and the year took a dramatic turn.  I canceled all of the shows that weren't canceled already and holed up at the house with the family and focused on my full time job as a Fire Captain for the City of Chattanooga in Tennessee.   I have been focusing a lot of energy on playing banjo and writing new material in hopes that one day I can get back on the road again.  The highlight of 2020 came in November when my friend and personal hero Darrell Scott came to town and asked me to sit in with him at The Barking Legs Theater, I have proof.   I have received some very thoughtful and encouraging emails and messages from a lot of the folks I've met over the years on the road.  Thank you all and I'll be sure to let folks know when it looks like new shows will be added to the schedule.  I hope all is well with you and your section of the world.

                          Randy
